Quality, Food Safety, Hygiene

Even if the quality of Favarger chocolates has been appreciated by consumers in Switzerland for many years, the conquest of new export markets often requires certification based upon international standards. The certification covers the quality management system, as well as the implementation of strict rules and procedures regarding food safety and hygiene (e.g. traceability).

After several on-site audits, the SGS has granted Favarger SA a multiple certification, which places the Geneva-based chocolatier in the top league among Swiss chocolate exporters and increases its competitiveness: 1. BRC (British Retail Consortium); 2. ISO 9001; 3. ISO 22000 : new international standard of food safety. Favarger is among the very first companies worldwide to receive this new certification. Besides, Favarger is fully committed to obtain the French-German IFS (International Food Standard) certification in the next few months.
